The goal of this project was to redesign the cover of The Handmaid’s Tale in a way that captures the novel’s themes of control, identity, and resistance. I focused on bold, minimal visuals—like the keyhole shape and the red cloak—to reflect the Handmaid’s restricted world and the constant surveillance they are under. The limited color palette and strong contrast were used to echo the harshness of Gilead, while the clean typography keeps the design modern and eye-catching. The aim was to create a cover that feels both powerful and thought-provoking.
